How to set up a Gather Board

Do you want an honest opinion from your coworkers? "Gathers" allows you to do so, by collecting feedback anonymously. Here's how to set up a Gather:


STEP 1 - CREATE THE GATHER



Go to Gather section in the administration area and click the plus sign to add a new Gather.






STEP 2 - DEFINE THE PARAMETERS



Fill its name and description.
Next, set the date and hour you want the first gather to start.






Let’s say you want a to get the submissions every Monday and close the submitting/voting on Friday. You would select the first desired Monday in Start date, set the Duration in days to 5, and Repetition interval in days to 7.


You can restrain the submissions and the voting process if you want to. By default, both fields are set as unlimited, as in most cases it is the best option. But, if you want to limit the number of submissions and votes each member can do, you can set it in the designated fields.








If this is a one time only situation, you should check Single Gather as it won’t use the Repetition interval to create new instances.
By default, it will enable automatic notifications (Slack and email), which sends the notifications after a new instance is created.
The Allow Availability checkbox allows members to opt out of this event.


Finally, you just need to choose to whom this Gather is for. Could be to all company members or any specific subset as a Department.


Click Create and that’s it.






STEP 3 - LET YOUR COWORKERS SPEAK THEIR MINDS



When the time is right, Wellbeing Warrior will notify everyone and submitting/voting will be open.
